TECHNICAL INFORMATION |

According to the final use of the fashion accessory and its technical needs, the pearls SIMON & SIMON can be elaborated with a bead made of :
- glass or resine,
- in regular or baroque shapes.
Wether we use glass or resine, the final colour (touch) will be the same. |

1 * Glass Pearls
- the glass density is the closest to the one of natural pearls. |

Man-made glass pearls
For large size (from 16 to 22 mm) as well as for baroque shapes, all beads are made following the traditional technique of lamp glass.
This allows us to propose the widest range of original shapes and size. |

2 * Resine Pearls :
- a light weight.
For the manufacturing of some accessories (e.g. garment buttons, hats, belts etc.) , the heavy weight of glass can be a problem. In that case, Simon & Simon Co. can provide you with similar pearls (in colours, shapes and size) made of resine. |

- a flexibility of use.
The resine pearls can be drilled again, so that the hole is adapted to the final destination. You can then put a ribbon, cord, string or else. |

- ever growing possibilities in size and shapes.
The mastery in the work of resine allows Simon & Simon Co. to propose lustered pearls in very high diameters. We have achieved 43 mm lately.
This way we cover the widest range of size to match all requirements of industry of fashion. e.g. 3 to 43 mm |

TECHNICAL QUALITIES |

The SIMON & SIMON pearls are manufactured with varnishes based on orient essence. As well as natural pearls, the SIMON & SIMON pearls must be handled with care. They must be kept away from alcools and solvents.
However, all the different coatings that are applied to the SIMON & SIMON peals assure them :
- to be very solid
- an excellent resistance to ultra-violets,
- to resist to dry cleaning,
- to resist to gold or silver plating (when on jewels or accessories),
- not to peal when hurt by an angular object,
- to be cleaned very easily with water and soap, or even better with a soft cleansing milk. |
